In 2022, the POSCO Group embarked on a 'Second Leap Forward' through a corporate restructuring into a holding company system. Striving to move beyond a steel-centric business structure, the group is focused on becoming a leading company in 'Eco-Friendly Future Materials,' driving a sustainable future. POSCO CAPITAL is also undergoing significant changes in line with this strategic direction of the group.

In 2023, POSCO CAPITAL completed its transition to a CVC company under the group's holding company system, establishing a new mid-to-long-term vision of 'Investment, Greening Future.' We are preparing to leap forward as a specialized investment company contributing to realizing a future eco-friendly society. This includes strategic investments, nurturing the group's new growth areas, and discovering and fostering promising prospective businesses to strengthen the venture ecosystem.

To this end, we are conducting balanced investments across various promising future sectors, including the group's seven core strategic businesses: steel, secondary battery materials, hydrogen, and energy. These efforts extended to the fourth industrial revolution, policy-driven industries, and deep tech. We are securing the best global venture deals through various venture infrastructures within the group, such as the POSCO N.EX.T Hub, RIST (Research Institute of Industrial Science & Technology), POSTECH, and Pohang Venture Valley, and through external networks with academia/research institutions, startup agencies, and financial institutions using Open Innovation methods.
